Just because it’s LEGO doesn’t mean it’s any less suave and sophisticated than the real Aston Martin DB5 driven by Agent 007 himself. In fact, for a LEGO model, it’s a pretty detailed replica, especially considering it’s the first of James Bond’s rides to be given the brick treatment.
The 1,300-piece set may take some time to put together, but the end product is a faithful replica of the gorgeous DB5. At least, as faithful as you can get when you’re working with blocks. Modeled after Bond’s ride in Goldfinger, the LEGO iteration even features some of the fun gadgets the lifesize vehicle included.
Toy around with the DB5 and you’ll find the hidden telephone and the rotating license plate. The car also features a gearstick that is engaged to reveal front machine guns, wheel-mounted tire scythes, a rear-window bullet screen, and a straight-6 hidden under the hood. There is no mistaking that a LEGO version of the secret agent would happily get behind the wheel of this scaled model of a modified classic. If he ever got tired of driving it around, he could always use the ejection seat, which is activated by pulling the rear bumper.
