Luxury SUV’s are the latest auto craze to sweep the globe, with big name brands such as Porsche, Jaguar and others offering high end, highly specced machines to blast you from A to B with all the creature comforts of a top of the range SUV.
Maserati has added a new model to their Levante line up with the GTS, which sits just below their flagship model, the Trofeo. The engine is a beastly twin-turbo Ferrari-built V8 that produces 500bhp and 538 lb-ft of torque. Q4 all wheel drive completes the set up and the results are impressive; 0-60 is hit in a mere 4 seconds whilst the top speed is a mighty 181mph.
Things are good on the outside too; the exterior shares similarities to the aforementioned Trofeo, with a lower front fascia and rear bumper supported by either 21″ or 22″ wheels. Inside, things are kept classy with perforated leather seats and an Alcantara headliner. Perfect audio is generated with a 14 speaker set up courtesy of Harman Kardon. Finally, a complete leather option by Pieno Fiore is offered to round out a well equipped SUV fit for taking on all comers.
