The design of the Kloof 119A House was meant to capture some of the most beautiful scenery to be found in Cape Town, South Africa. A view of Lion’s Head can be seen from the side of the house, while Table Mountain sits majestically in back of the home, easy to see and admire.
The views can be seen just as easily from the roof, which is an inverted pyramid with a clerestory window. From many areas in the home, you are also able to see the mountains of Boland and even Signal Hill, thanks to the many panels of glass running from the ceiling to the floor.
It’s sure that there’s no lack of views to be had from inside the home, but moving outside affords a spectacular view as well. Make yourself comfortable on the terrace at the poolside where you can look over Cape Town and the Winelands that lie beyond it.
It’s a wonderful home design for anyone who wants to bring nature, and all of its cycles, further in than they’ve ever come before. Whether you enjoy watching the sunshine cast shadows, or look for moon rainbows on a clear night, this design allows you to do that.
