Breitling released its Professional Collection with three new chronograph dress watches for professionals: Endurance Pro, Emergency, and Aerospace Evo. Each offers different features to suit varying areas of expertise and passion, but all are unisex and 100% Swiss-made.
Helping to bridge the gap between white-collar professionals’ day jobs and their outdoor hobbies, a Breitling Professional Watch seamlessly transitions from boardroom to backcountry. Consider it your never-leave-home-without-it adventure timepiece.
Endurance PRO
The lightweight, robust Endurance Pro is the most affordable in the Breitling Professional collection, ringing in at $3,000. The watch will capture your eye with the bold strap colors. Pops of color match the chosen band color: orange, red, yellow, navy, or white. The colors integrate into the black dial with white accents without crowding the already busy dial. The case, measuring 44 mm, is Breitlight, a carbon composite that is lighter than either titanium or stainless steel. It is non-magnetic, thermally stable, and hypoallergenic while resistant to scratches, traction, and erosion.
Powering the Endurance Pro is a Breitling thermocompensated COSC-certified super quartz Caliber 82. The quartz watch is extremely accurate, running about +/-10 seconds-per-year, whereas most quartz watches generally waiver +/-1 second-per-day. It has a battery life of 3 to 4 years and can withstand depths up to 100 meters (330 ft). A double glare-proof sapphire crystal covers the dial for high visibility in any conditions.
At first glance, the dial is busy. After a few studies of the face, you’ll find the calendar aperture tucked in between the four- and five-hour marks. The three sub-dials of the chronograph cover the Arabic hour makers. Directly inside the bidirectional compass bezel is an athletic pulsometer.
Emergency
The Emergency model in the Professional Collection is an eye-catching watch, from the moment you see it on your alpine teammate’s wrist to when you’re sneaking a peek at the time during an awards ceremony. While the Endurance Pro is suitable for training athletes, the Emergency is ideal for rugged backcountry adventurers. The dual-frequency distress signal is a lifeline not to take for granted, and the Emergency is the first wristwatch with one built-in. The system uses a miniature transmitter and an antenna system to emit an alert signal, assisting the search and rescue team in finding you.
With a 55-mm case, the Emergency is black titanium or black DMC-coated titanium with a titanium or rubber strap. A thermocompensated electronic COSC-certified super quartz Breitling 76 powers the Emergency. The watch has both an analog and 12/24-hour digital LCD, countdown timer, secondary timezone option, and alarm.
The bidirectional compass bezel keeps you orientated with your map, and the five-bar water-resistance ensures no damage comes to your distress signal. The glare-proofed crystal is a convex sapphire. The Emergency has an MSRP of $15,685, and the price jumps to $18,695 if you’d like the DLC-coated Titanium Edition.
Aerospace Evo
Hovering above the Endurance Pro in price, the Aerospace Evo Titanium costs $4,375, and the DLC-coated Titanium model is $5,195. While still a chronograph, the 1/100-second and 48-hour max timer are digital, powered by a thermocompensated quartz electronic Super Quartz Breitling 79. The calendar is digital as well, with the day and date programmed for 4 years. The Aerospace Evo also features a countdown timer, secondary timezone option, alarm, and minute repeater.
It is water-resistant up to 100 meters and has a two-sided, glare-proofed sapphire covering the dial. The bezel is unidirectional and ratcheted.
