This newest monster of a Hybrid Concept truck comes from Mitsubishi – a brand that has been relatively quiet on the production front in recent years. But they’ve returned in style, as the Engelberg Tourer Hybrid Concept SUV is like nothing you’ve seen before – nothing you’ve seen on Earth, that is. The modern, space-like design looks like it has come straight from a Mars mission, and the robust 4WD plug-in hybrid EV is built to showcase the new Dendo Drive House, a remarkable new-age technological feat developed by Mitsubishi which enables a direct line of contact between a home location and the vehicle. Taking electric vehicles to a whole new level, the 2.4L engine unit is designed to function alongside the electric motors, allowing for an impressive 434 miles to be covered per tank. Technically these could be done on or off road, as off-road tires and underside skid-plates are firmly in place too to ensure optimal grip no matter the terrain. A rooftop cargo box is accessed via push button, alongside an onboard navigation system which provides the driver with everything from maps, weather information, topography and traffic, to surface condition information.
Dendo Drive House technology features a solar panel charging option, as well as connectivity to home devices, and comes in a packaged system for full access to all features.
