You can only go so far before having to take a break, pull over and get that sweltering helmet off, taking up valuable time and energy. Steve Feher of Feher Helmets recognized this inconvenience and devised a plan; air-conditioned helmets. Sounds simple enough, and it really is. An air conditioning unit weighing in at just over 3 pounds is slotted into the helmet and provides that cooling feeling for riders.
Steve is somewhat of an authority on the subject; his patented seat cooling has been used in cars such as Rolls Royce’s and Lexus, so he has precedent for providing the best and knowing what works. The helmet works by having a small thermo-electric pump connected via a breakaway cable, which cools the air by 10 to 15 degrees. This is then circulated around your head, keeping you fresh and free from stoppages. It’s the first design of its kind to ever be seen in the world and will surely revolutionize the way motorcycling is progressed going forwards.
