Panasonic Lumix S1 & S1R Cameras

The Lumix S1 and S1R Cameras are the first of their kind to include full-frame sensors in the advanced specs. It’s a move which Lumix have held off on for a while, preferring until now to use the typical mirrorless camera that they have developed a name for. But the advanced video capabilities of these new models show, with the S1 boasting a 24MP sensor, and the S1R a 47MP. The S1R is built to prioritise maximum resolution – a 187MP  “High-Res’ sensor-shift mode allowing for even the most sensitive and subtle shifts to be registered.

The professional quality of these cameras serves as an inspiration for photographers all over the world to start capturing stunning shots and seeing the world through a different lense – something the powerful shooting capacity of both devices supports.

Indeed the caption ‘Through the lense of professionals’ is as good a reason as any to get your hands on a Lumix S1 or S1R once they become available around March 2019.

Weather-seals and 5.76M-dot 120Hz OLED electronic viewfinders are features on both cameras, as are dual-hinged touch screen LCDs, 5-axis in-body stabilization systems, and support for both QXD and  SD cards. A Leica-owned system called L-Mount glass ensures users of correspondence with lenses from Panasonic, Sigma and Leica.
