In the ‘60s, U.S. military personnel were in dire need of a watch that was strong in three primary areas. It needed to be easy to read, it was crucial that it was deadly accurate, and it must withstand the pressing constraints of pilots who were engaged in active combat.
The result of this need was the Mil-SpecGG-W-113, the best of which was created by none other than Hamilton. Now, based on that very same design, we have the Khaki Field 80-Hour Reserve Watch.
Some of the features that come standard with this peace include a utilitarian dial and a lume set with an entirely vintage feel. The case is not only the perfect size, but set in brushed stainless steel as well.
The new version of this tactical watch doubles the common 42 hours of reserve time, turning it into 80 hours. This comes through thanks to the manually wound movement by Hamilton, which was previously unreleased and never before used on any other watch.
With a Case Thickness of 9.5 mm, a Diameter of 38 mm, and a Lug Width of 20 mm, this watch comes with black and military green NATO straps. You will also get a watch tool so that you can add your own straps if you so choose.
