Tattoo Moto is a notoriously innovative marketing company whose creative juices has been ordered and consumed by countless big names in leading industries. The firm has now lent some of their skillset to the realm of vehicle design, having established an in-house motorcycle design studio to attend to their overflowing artistic workforce. The BMW R80RT ‘Blue Velvet’ is the latest brainchild to emerge from the studio, a classy variation on the original with new and improved knob-ridden tires and a sleek, minimalist silhouette.
Tattoo Moto’s unique take on motorcycle design as an art form really shines through in this model, with upgrades including a Honda CB360 tank (with its original labels and tagging still in tact), a new and improved LED lighting system on the rear, a black leather scrambler seat and an enormous King Bee chopper headlight. An Ohlins monoshock improves handling and adjustability, minimizing even the bumpiest of rides for everyone on board. The finished looks encompasses the ‘Blue Velvet’ class of its name and entirely redefines any preconceived image of what a BMW remake might have entailed.
