An all-electric vehicle, the Jaguar E-type Zero is a part of Jaguar’s commitment to ensuring all of its cars will be electric by the year 2020 and boasts a number of enticing features. Based on its 1960s style E-type vehicle, the Jaguar E-type Zero offers a classic style that was once called the “most beautiful car in the world” by Enzo Ferrari himself. It offers an electric, bespoke powertrain that is able to generate up to 220 kilowatts of power. Able to reach 100 kilometers per hour in only 5.5 seconds, the Jaguar E-type Zero is said to possess a range of 270 kilometers thanks to the rechargeable 40 kilowatts-per-hour battery that is able to be recharged in only six or seven hours.
The Jaguar E-type Zero is simply an electric car that has been retrofit into the outer shell of a classic car and while it seems to be a bit more than a concept vehicle, the Jaguar E-type Zero does not appear to be much more. The future proof classic car has a premise of bringing Old School designs to the future of cars with electrification as well as other modern features. The features include LED headlights which are thought to be included in the hopes of appealing to a wider, younger and more modern audience that wants to experience the ownership of a classic car without sacrificing their eco-friendly values in terms of car ownership.
